What are the main challenges faced by the   advertising industry?


The main challenges faced by the advertising industry today is advertising products to an audience without putting them off and making them not want to pay attention to the adverts. Another challenge is that adverts are no longer eye catching and interesting to the audience, so a lot of people view them as boring and frustrating to watch. This may be due to the way they are shot nowadays or what sort of messages the audience are getting from the adverts. 


What is native advertising/ branded 

     content and targeted advertising.

Native advertising is advertising in disguise. People watch things that appear as though they are stories, short films, videos or TV programmes, when really they are promoting a product or service. Branded content is when companies use vehicles like films and TV programmes to advertise their products. It is the placement of the product in the film or TV programme in order to advertise it. Targeted advertising involves placing ads to web users, based on the users social media activity or online activity. 

 

.Viral advertising 

Marketing campaigns that spreads like a viruses from one person to another, and use social media networks to promote their services or product, which the audiences make go viral. Examples include the Evian roller baby advert.


. Shoppable tags

    This is when a site allows users to shop within the site without opening a separate browser. This allows Instagram influences to monetize their posts and form brand partnerships- which makes them become brand ambassadors.
