As well as being the founder of The Big Issue, he also sits in the house of lords as a crossbencher. He used to be homeless himself as well as lived a very hard life as a young person. He spent most of his youth stealing, resulting in him being in and out of prison a lot. He was also excluded from school and grew up an orphan. The Big Issue is based on Ethical Capitalism. This means to make money and profit in a moral and compassionate way. The money made from the Big Issue is used to help the homeless and people living in poverty. The Big Issue's reading: Men can understand and join the movement for equal gender rights, by being feminists. "Pink stinks" suggests that the Big issue think that gender directed clothes and the socialization of children from young to conform to the idea of gender roles is wrong. The Women's pose denotes a flexing of the bicep muscle. This connotes strength and a desire to fight for women's rights. Modern da...
